■ Blind Rivets
The blind rivets are made of two parts namely, the body and the mandrel. Place blind rivets from only one side of the work-piece. The jaws of tool will seize the mandrel, the rivet is set by pulling the mandrel head into the rivet body, at a predetermined setting force, the mandrel breaks and falls away. The mandrel head expanding the body, and forming a strong, tight, reliable joint. The body is deformed when the rivet is set and it is this part which clamps the work-piece together.
■ Key Features and Benefits
The blind rivets are a high per-formance blind fastening system. The blind rivets have been designed to suit virtually every assembly requirement. The advantages offered by these unique fastening methods with conventional fasteners are:
1. Product Diversity, Exceptional Versatility
The blind rivets range is more extensive, there are different Material Combinations, Sizes, Head Styles and Finishes. The blind rivets hold securely in thin or thick, soft or hard materials, ideal for dissimilar materials. First choice for riveting plastics and other easily damaged components.
2. Blind Installation, Fast Assembly
The ability to place blind rivets from only one side of the work-piece, increases the speed and efficiency of the assembly, low installed cost.
3. Wide grip range, Reduced stock control
One blind rivet can often be used to replace several standard grip fasteners, accommodates wide variations in work-piece thickness, reduced fastener inventory and simpler stock control.
4. Consistent, Strong, Reliable Fastening
The blind rivets don't torque out like threaded fasteners. Correct setting pressure is predetermined by the breaking point designed into the mandrel, independent of operator skill. It ensure consistently accurate and secure, high strength assembly, provide a vibration resistant joint.
5. Complete Hole Fill, Vibration-Proof Assembly
The blind rivets won't vibrate loose and fall out like threaded fasteners. Rivets body expanding to fill oversize, irregular, slotted or misaligned holes. They create a high strength, vibration resistant joint.
6. Large Blind Side, Load Spreading
The blind rivets have large blind side bearing area, Spreads the tail bearing load/ clamp load on the ‘Blind’ Work-Piece, no damage to surface coatings.
7. Increased Design Flexibility, Exceed User Demand
The blind rivets draws work-piece together, even when a gap exists between work-piece.
